Description

YAY, I'm all done with Pudding Clinger updated info and visual sheet! This is a small info sheet compared to Gummi Sharks' info sheet, but they are no less important beings in the Candy World. It may take me a bit to get the set of them coming up done since I go home later than planned, but hopefully it'll be up soon tonight!

Also here's some general rules and such with Pudding Clingers:

Rules
*Resell/Trade/Gifting Policy: piehugs.deviantart.com/journal…
*This is a closed species.
*Minor edits are allowed. If you're wondering about an edit, feel free to ask about it.
*You may change their tail type! (Except to empty because... then they would be dead.)

Short Description

A Pudding Clinger is a rodent-esque creature that has a heart-shaped tail filled with magical pudding or yogurt. They have enough magic embedded within them to float off the ground at all times. They are general nice creatures and are willing to share almost anything. Almost anything. They can be very possessive of a few items and beings, often viciously attacking those who threaten their precious belongings. They are seldom to changing their minds once upset, and will continuously show that they disliked your actions against them. Be very weary around these cuties... They may be sweet, but they do have a dangerous side.

Body Details

Overall Body

Most Pudding Clingers are biologically female, but there are a few biological males. They are no taller than 6' 3", but they tend to have long legs with pointy feet since they do not need to walk. They can have any rodent or rabbit type of ear, capable of varying in size moderately. They feed their young with sugary milk, but it doesn't take long for their young's diet to shift to the main diet. The average life span can be from 95 years to 200 years, it all depends on how their tail health is.

Teeth

Pudding Clingers' teeth are small, sharp, and partially retractable, a bite from them would hurt quite a lot. While their diet does not require sharp teeth, they use them as a self-defense or intimidation method. When threaten or extremely offended, they will hiss loudly and their teeth will extend out from their gums. Their mouths can open up to twice the size of their usual head, making it easy for them to fit another creature's entire head into their mouth. It's highly advised not to get one's head caught in a Pudding Clingers' mouth or wrath, and for good reason!

Tail Health

Every Pudding Clingers' tail is filled with pudding or yogurt that power their magical properties and upholds their overall health. If the tail is cut or popped and all the pudding spills out, it will take some time for it to heal and refill. During this time the Pudding Clinger will be very ill but will not die in most cases.

Tail Types

There are 6 different tail types/stages a Pudding Clinger may have:
Solid- One color, one flavor, all sugary
Two-toned- Split down the middle, two times the flavor
Swirled- Plenty of swirly stripes, often colorful and bright
Parfait- Got the bits of fruit, sometimes granola, other times cookie crumbs, chocolate bits, and more are on top!
Broken- When the tail looks like this, the Pudding Clinger is in an ill stage
Empty- If there are no cracks or holes, it is a really big sign that the Pudding Clinger is dead... Though there may be a couple of Pudding Clingers that aren't that "dead"... Not often though.

Diet

A Pudding Clinger's diet consist of one fruit: Sugarplum. Sugarplums are scrumptious, juicy, mega sweet plums that can brighten any Pudding Clingers' day! They may eat other sugary fruits, but sugarplums are a staple in their diet, and they may be very possessive of these plums. Whatever you do, do NOT touch any sugarplum trees near to Pudding Clingers' villages.

Social Qualities and Habitat

Sugarplum Valley

Sugarplum Valley is the native home for Pudding Clingers. Almost all Pudding Clingers are born here or have relatives found here. While the valley is filled with Pudding Clingers, other creatures freely live within the valley, getting along with native Pudding Clingers for the most part. City-like towns are formed by Doughies, and Ribbon Jackers form business here and hire Squishes as guards. (Usually their fashion business/homes are hidden behind trees made by their magic to reduce theft.) Pudding Clingers live in the far east of Sugarplum Valley that is near the edge of the paths leading to the Sundae Mountains. They come out their mini villages to shop, find a pet Doughie, or to adventure into the mountains/caves looking for a Pie Cage.

Any Pudding Clingers that live outside of Sugarplum Valley may not seem as cheerful as the ones in it. This is mainly because sugarplums grown rarely anywhere else, and they would have to depend on other fruits to get them by. The lack of sugarplums in their diet may leave them more susceptible to the cold, as a result it isn't uncommon to see a traveling Pudding Clinger covered with layers of clothing.

Interaction with One Another

In their society, there is nothing but peace amongst Pudding Clinger kind. They are highly against harming one another and will shun those who cause harm to another Pudding Clinger no matter the reason. If a dispute happens between two or more Pudding Clingers, they will try to their fullest to talk it out with one another. If that doesn't work, they will have a tournament involving sugarplum-related games. The winners receiving an apology, and if a draw happens, a truce or compromise will be made. By the end of the games however, the Pudding Clingers would have had so much fun with one another, they are quick to forgive.

Romantically, Pudding Clingers are not very active in that area with one another. They prefer to be involved with Pie Cages, and see all other Pudding Clingers as platonic family members. Mating may be done between opposite sexes purely for offspring if one of the Pudding Clingers desire to raise a child with their Pie Cage partner. Romantic relationships between Pudding Clingers are not unheard of however!

Interaction with Other Creatures

One odd thing about this species is its attraction to Pie Cages and Doughies. They find Doughies absolutely adorable and will attempt to scoop them right up and keep them as pets. Of course Doughies are not very fond of this and will always try to run away.

With Pie Cages it's a different story. Pudding Clingers are the only species in the Candy World that is naturally attracted to another species other than their own. They're seriously annoying to Pie Cages with their clinginess and constant talking, which is one reason why Pie Cages hide in caves often. Once seen by a Pudding Clinger, it'll never stop following the Pie Cage. Not only that, but these cute creatures are actually very dangerous and do not fear Pie Cages.

However Pudding Clingers are very beneficial to Pie Cages. Over time, as a Pudding Clinger give a Pie Cage more love, the Pie Cage begins forming a real heart due to the magical qualities of a Pudding Clinger. Sadly, by the time a Pie Cage forms a full heart and actually fall in love with the Pudding Clinger, the Pudding Clinger's tail will be empty (without refilling) and the loving creature will die by fading away. Suffering form its first heartbreak, the Pie Cage will tear out its heart which may or may not kill it.

Pudding Clingers' interactions with other candy creatures are usually very caring and sweet. A few times this can get Pudding Clingers caught in a jam quite literally. Sugar Raiders usually try to kidnap them because they constantly feed the Sugar Raiders' huge egos with compliments.

Ribbon Jackers don't always get along well with Pudding Clingers because they tend to protect the Pie Cage they follow from the Ribbon Jackers' tricks. Otherwise Pudding Clingers are friendly towards Ribbon Jackers and vice versa, especially since they are repeat customers at Ribbon Jackers' shops. Pie Cages are usually the creatures that have plenty of Candy Gems with them because they live in caves where they grow, so this enables Pudding Clingers to buy as much as they please from the shops if they have a Pie Cage partner.

The only creatures this species doesn't like are Candy Bites. Sugarplums have a calming effect on any candy creature, especially with Pudding Clingers and Candy Bites. Some Candy Bites may go beyond their fears to retrieve this fruit to solve their sleepless woes. The sugarplums are of course heavily guarded by Pudding Clingers, and getting near them could mean certain doom to a Candy Bite. Pudding Clingers view Candy Bites as pests, they attempt to bite a Candy Bite's head off the moment Pudding Clingers lay eyes on one.
