Description

I'm really trying to get out of a design rut so I can finish owed stuff/make some new sets of stuff, so have a species concept. I was trying to make a species that wasn't really mean, morbid, or anything really negative like most of my species end up being... and I kinda succeeded? Well really I failed.

These little buggers look like they're all happy and cheerful-- but they're no where near to that. They exist in a new era of the Candy World, which in their time, a lot of the species from before died out due to a very ugly war between almost the whole Candy World's species and Bittersweets that happened hundreds of thousands of years ago. In this time, Gummi Sharks still are very abundant, in fact they are pretty much a dominant species of the world [once again-- I'll explain that later]. The only other species left from the "old world" are Squishes, a few Ribbon Jackers, Sugar Raiders, and very very few Pudding Clingers. There have been no trace of Bittersweets in the world... they have seemed to been wiped out from the world they originally invaded. If you want to read about some of the old Candy World, you can look here: About The Candy World [important]I thought I'd write a little something about the Candy World, or at least list some information about what lives there and such.

Anywho, in this world that is a bit more jelly ocean than land, these guys thrive. Their original name was Jello Snaps, but they eventually started to be called "Cheebi"; a bit of a nickname for "Cheerful" Beasts. They are distant cousins/descendants to Gummi Sharks, and they're just as ferocious if not more dangerous. They appear to be very "cheerful" most of the time with the way they smile so much-- but smiling means aggressive in their society.  The more one smiles, the more it's ready to fight. They are very light and flexible, making it easier to avoid each other's attack, but their prey/any other species that run into them are not as skilled at dodging and suffer some nasty cuts, tears, and bruises. Hint why this species is called "beasts". They use the very sensitive "pads" on their hands to "smell" their prey. Everything has a unique "scent" to them, so if they sense prey that escaped them before through their fingers, they chase wildly after the prey.

There are very few Cheebi that are passive and will refuse to attack-- these do not smile. This does not mean they are friendly or anything, just that they won't attack. Some Cheebi may be nice at times, but usually their viciousness dominates their demeanor.

I'll write about this species more as I come up with more ideas, but for now, it's been a really tiring day so I may just hit the hay soon. XD These were slightly influenced by cuttlefish, those things are as fascinating to me as they are freaky. XDD

This is a closed species, meaning you cannot make any of your own.
